Museum Le Mess
Avenue de la Gare 11
6600 Bastogne - Belgium

The 101st Airborne museum in Bastogne is located in the former officers mess building of the Belgian Army.
This prestigious building was used by the German army during the occupation of Bastogne in WWII.
After the war it was used as a hospital by the Red Cross. This unique building with its rich history is the perfect base to gather and display the military history of the 101st Airborne Division during the Battle of the Bulge.
The building is restored in its former glory without losing its character.
An exclusive collection of items from the Battle of the Bulge and window displays with amazing lifelike scenes
and mannequins will take you back in time to that Battle.

This museum is definitely worth a visit!

And there will be more!
We have a number of projects planned for 2012.
* The number of window displays will be expanded downstairs in the basement of the museum
* The shop with a big collection of original WWII items will be opened in the museum building.
It will be a treasure of items for collectors but also for people who want to preserve a piece of the WWII history.
* This website will be available in more languages.

Do you want to go to the scenes where the Battle of the Bulge actually happenend? You can!
The museum offers the possibility to take a battlefield tour that takes you to memorable places and
actual scenes where the battle took place. Please click on "Battleground Tour" in the top menu for more information.
